Kas~ Kids, Activism & Support

Kids~ I can certainly tell you what has taken over my news feed the last 6 days; the 2 children ages 4 & 6 missing in Nova Scotia. Jack & Lily were last seen Friday May 2nd in the morning, as mom & step dad say, they must’ve gone outside while they were still sleeping. A lot of fingers have been pointed at the parents; their reaction following the disappearance, their lack of emotion, the mother leaving the area, the list goes on. While we do not know what has gone on, what involvement (if any) the parents had, what we do know is that we need to stop pointing the blame, and 100% focus on finding these two children. A huge shout out to all the first responders, the search and rescue teams and all those in the area helping to do searches to bring these two home.

Activism~Some see activism as protests. Some see them as boycotts. Others, especially when it’s those in power, see it as a subtle act. We have seen this with country leaders wearing pins of solidarity with Ukraine etc. But most recently was the invitation by Prime Minister Mark Carney to King Charles III, to open up parliament, and King Charles III’s acceptance of this invitation. This has not been done since 1977. This is not something done after each election, but was done as a subtle reminder to the orange tyrants administration, that we do (technically) have a KING, we are not looking for another, as well as the solidarity we have with the Country of England. Ali~Assholes, Legal Shit, & Ignorant People

Assholes~ Just as I was starting to think I could actually like Doug Ford, he goes and does this! Introduces Bill 5: the Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy act. This bill basically guts the protection we have for our wildlife. It directly repeals the Endangered Species Act, so none of our wildlife is protected. Why this bill, for ol’ dougie to attack? Why it removes protection from areas that will allow his buddies to purchase the land, and do with it as they will! More highrises? More malls? Did you hear how dirty he handled the shutting down of the Ontario Science Centre?

Legal Shit~ TRIGGER WARNING! Another news story that has captivated the headlines in Canada, is the ongoing trial of the 5 Team Canada junior hockey team members accused of assaulting a woman back in 2018. While the general consenus is innocent until proven guilty, I cannot imagine this woman having to be grilled by 5 different lawyers. It is a tricky case as well but instead of discussing what happened and thoughts on it, I’m just gonna post some help lines for those in need!

Ignorant People~ PM Mark Carney grudgingly made his way to visit the orange tyrant after being elected! If you can get a transcript or video of the whole conversation, or even just the highlights you will see it was quite comical. PM Mark Carney’s facial expressions say it all! Even after “dumbing down” for the orange tyrant, and using an analogy he was hoping he would understand (real estate), explaining that Birmingham Palace is not for sale, the White House is not for sale, then firming up as he says Canada is not for sale, and never will be for sale, the orange tyrant said “never say never”! To which PM Mark Carney replied calmly, and quietly, “NEVER”!
