Kids~ Making international news, was an vehicle accident, close to here. An accident that claimed the lives of 4 teens and their teacher! Coming home from a sporting event, the vehicle they were travelling in, was involved in a collision with a transport truck. As information became available and we heard it involved teenagers, it broke our hearts. Any death, in such a way is heartbreaking, but to know 4 kids’s lives were cut short! Those friends close to them are asking everyone to leave a pair of sneakers on their porch, to remember the lives of the teens, as well as their amazing coach!

Activism~ If you’re not a swiftie, you may skip this paragraph 😂! When we talk about activism, we can’t forget the celebrities who speak up, knowing it could risk their career! We’ve seen it recently with Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift speaking against the orange tyrant, especially with the🍊tyrant ranting about these celebrities on social media. Bruce Springsteen took to the stage to voice his “message” to the president, and Taylor took a different approach. The🍊made a post stating how nobody likes Taylor Swift, since he said he hated her, and said she’s “not even hot!” Very presidential🤦🏻‍♀️! However, with the Handmaids Tale being a a scary, almost too accurate adaptation to what is actually happening in the States, Taylor dropped a rerelease of “Look what you made me do” in the episode where Jane is leading an uprising, with the lyrics changing from “I got smarter, I got harder in the nick of time” to “I got smarter, I got hotter in the nick of time!” Subtle but powerful!

Ali~Assholes, Legal Shit, & Ignorant People

Assholes~With pride month only a few days away, let’s focus on the HATE already showing up in Norwich township in Oxford county! Some asshole(s), removed a pride flag from a public school and set it on fire! Now if you know Norwich “history”, you’d know there was quite the fight a few years back with their town council to even get a Pride Flag allowed to be raised on toen property. As well, back then anyone who had a pride flag was targeted with theft of the flag, vandalism or both. Even crosswalks weren’t safe. The town council pushed to remove flying the pride flag, and the local Pride community fought back! Last year we were able to raise the Pride flag and it felt good! The flag at the school, was raised for IDAHTB (International Day Against Homophobia Transphobia & Biphobia). We can’t let these hate crimes happen!

Legal Shit~ Kind of going with the “asshole” this week, is another hate crime, this time in London On. A couple who are strong advocates for the Pride community, had their vehicle spray painted, tires popped. They had just started to get the repairs done and another attack happened. Police are involved, but there’s not a lot they can do. That needs to change. The people who did this need to be brought to justice and charged with hate crimes, or even terrorist charges. They intended to terrorize the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. A GoFundMe has been set up to help them cover the costs of repairs! Stronger punishments for this type of hate is needed!

Ignorant People~ Cue the trolls! A Quebec lawmaker, has received death threats for pushing for equality, from a bunch of ignorant keyboard warriors. She has received threats towards her family, as well as her children. This isn’t the States, this is Canada. These keyboard warriors, are targeting this woman’s children, and threatening their lives, all because her push for equalities for ALL. These ignorant people are emboldened due to the rhetoric of bigotry and bullshit coming from the 🍊 tyrant and all the fools following his fascist, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic ideology.
