Whew, Father’s Day line is out, Pride line is out and now End of Year Teacher gifts are out! These teacher gifts are available by sending us a message, (going to try to get them on our website before they sell out), and at The Soulful Spoon in Woodstock On. Kas~ Kids, Activism & Support

Kids~When the news popped up earlier this week that a terrorist threat was in the Toronto area, I was like wtf. Found out that wasn’t the threat, but a shelter in place was in effect (okay still not cool but it’s Toronto). But to hear it was caused by an unprovoked, random attack of an elderly person by a 14 yr old, I actually said “What the f@ck”! Lots of questions from the community, as police search for a motive. A 14yr old is in custody, and charged with first degree murder.

Activism~I couldn’t think of a better activist group to shout out this week then our very own Oxford County Pride! Oxford County Pride is celebrating its 10 year anniversary! With so much fun and entertainment coming up over the next month we look forward to celebrating with them!

Small Business Support~ This week shout out to Scotty’s Edge. The business owner Alyssa, creates live edge wood furniture, wall decals and more. She also is the host behind the upcoming Father’s Day Market, this Sunday at the Thamesford Arena 1-4pm.

Ali~Assholes, Legal Shit, & Ignorant People

Assholes~Were you ever a King of the Hill fan? I know that dates me, but it was a big show back in the 90’s! Yes kids, back in the late 1900’s! Anyways, we were saddened to hear that Jonathan Jose (voice actor for John Redcorn) was murdered, just outside his residence with his spouse by his side. The suspect was a neighbour, who admitted right away, whom Joss has had issues with in the past. Despite the couple, Joss’s spouse is transgendered, being the subject of anti LGBTQIA harassment for years (and a hugely disturbing incident you can read in the link), the police do not believe it was hate related (cue eye roll)! Not surprising though as this happened in Texas!

Legal Shit~In true conservative “laws are for other people, not me” Dougie Ford wants to put the tunnel under the 401 and mark it as a special economic zone… where bylaws can be avoided. So his money hungry buddies can not “adhere” to bylaws, zoning etc! Seems an awful lot like “the tearing down the science centre as fast as I can, so my buddies can build condos and shit”!

Ignorant People~Ignorant, racist, just all around douche ?!? I don’t know but this guy is in some shit. This teacher is charged with harassing a coworker. The harassment, which should include some hate speech charges as they were anti-Islamic, were directed at an employee inside an elementary school In Woodstock On. It’s fuckin 2025, we shouldn’t have to worry about racism, sexism, genderism…basically any sort of bigotry!
